Petroleum Engineering Department has four research directions, namely Oil and Gas well Drilling Engineering, oil and gas field development Engineering, oil field chemicals, petroleum geology.The Department has 1 state first-grade key discipline, 2 state second-grade key disciplines, 2 disciplines for conferring master’s degrees and 1 bachelor’s specialties.The Department has one first-class key disciplines (breeding) of jiangsu province and one provincial key specialty during the period of “the twelfth Five-year Plan”.The Department has one Oil and energy Engineering experiment center of jiangsu province focusing on the practice of undergraduate teaching, and shall assume the scientific experiment of faculty, corporate training and students' innovation of science and technology activity.The Department has undertaken more than 30 scientific research projects including provincial and ministerial projects. In addition, the Department published many high-level articles that were cited by SCI, EI and ISTP.The Department carries out extensive contact and collaboration with overseas universities and research institutes, greatly enhancing its international influence.
